Orioles News - 11/16/07 - The O's Biggest Off Season Addition

The Baltimore Orioles have just made what will be their biggest off season pick up of the year. Your probably wondering, "Who did they pick up? The free agent pool is pretty weak this year..." The Orioles latest addition is a new scoreboard and video display. Maryland Stadium Authority voted to replace the Orioles current scoreboard, which is failing. ANC Sports Enterprises and Mitsubishi have agreed that the new scoreboard and video display will be finished by March 17. That is two weeks before the O's open up their season. But, there is more then just a new scoreboard and video display. Under the deal, a high-definition video control room and a revamped audio system are also parts. The new scoreboard will have a 24 by 74 foot screen. The old JumboTron's screen was 23 by 31 feet. This is definitely going to be the O's biggest off season addition. - John T.
