The Baltimore Orioles and Maryland Stadium Authority have reached an agreement that will replace the video and audio systems at Camden Yards. It will cost 9 million dollars. This deal was made as the Orioles and MSA can now avoid arbitration. Under this deal, Stadium Authority will pay 3.75 million dollars for a larger, high definition scoreboard and screen. The O's will pay for improvements like a revamped scoreboard for the out-of-town games and a new audio system. Hmmm. Looks like that could be the Orioles biggest off season pick up. (No pun intended.)
Also, the O's announced that pro scout Jim Howard is now an advance scout. This job was formerly Deacon Jones' job.
That's all for today, check back here tomorrow for more O's news. - John T.
